You may want to remove some properties that you no longer manage, and whilst this can be done in your TouchRight dashboard, it should always be carried out with caution.
To delete a property, navigate to Properties > Manage Properties. The bin icon next to a property will not only delete the property record, but also the full report and appointment history for that property, as all reports are assigned to a property record.
If you wish to delete a property, we strongly recommend that you:
Make sure any reports are fully completed.
Download and securely store the PDF reports separately before removing the property.
Export your Property List and review it fully before making your decision. You can do this via Properties>Manage Properties>Download CSV (account owners only)
Before pressing delete, take a moment to think:
Will I need this property again in future? Keeping the record means you can link back to past reports, saving you time and energy if you need to provide comparison reports for clients.
Could the landlord return? Even if you no longer manage the property today, landlords sometimes come back after trying “greener pastures.” If you’ve deleted their historic inventories and check-outs, you’ll have to start from scratch when they return.
Is the small cost worth the time saved? Consider the hours you and your team spent putting that information together. Often, the cost of upgrading your plan to keep the property on your account works out at less than the price of a grande coffee – and the time saved could be invaluable.

Deleted properties may not be recoverable. If you delete one in error, please reach out to support@touchrightsoftware.com straight away so we can review reinstatement options.

Key Takeaways
Deleting a property also deletes all its reports and appointments.
Consider whether you may need the property again (historic reports save huge amounts of time).
